Compare with TFmini,TFmini-S has these advantages :

Upgrade Overview
 
TFmini-S is a single-point ranging Lidar based on TFmini upgrade.
The blind zone of it is reduced from 30cm to 10cm, the outdoor ranging performance is further improved, the distance range is not disturbed by ambient light, which can be consistent with the indoor range, and the accuracy is further optimized. The error performance at 10% reflectivity approaches the background of 90% reflectivity, and the interface supports UART and I2C switching at any time.

Q1: Is TFmini-S available with 3.3V or other power supply voltage?
A1: Sorry, it is not available for the time being. The Standard power supply of TFmini-S is 5V±0.1V. If you have any further requirement, please contact our sales person to consult a customization design matter.
 
Q2: TFmini-S will heat up after operating for a while. Is it broken?
A2: This is the normal operating condition of the product. The temperature of the chip and circuit board will slightly up after a continuous operation, which is a normal case.
 
Q3: Can TFmini-S be connected with Arduino or Raspberry Pi for use?
A3: Yes, it can. TFmini-S adopts serial communication protocol so that it can connect to any control board supporting serial port communication.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Description of TFmini Plus
 
TFmini Plus, based on TFmini, is a single-point short-range LiDAR. Inherited low cost, small size and low power consumption from TFmini, TFmini Plus has greatly improved its performance — increasing the measurement frequency, reducing blind zone and improving accuracy. Meanwhile, TFmini Plus introduces IP65 enclosures and optimizes various compensation algorithms, which will greatly expand its application fields and scenarios.
